(JEONJU=Yonhap News) North Jeolla Province has decided to form special strategy task forces to prepare for the 4th industrial revolution.

The decision was made to prepare for the fundamental changes across various economic and social areas expected as a result of the 4th industrial revolution, and the province will accordingly select appropriate projects and respond in a systematic manner.

A total of 5 task forces, each in charge of a particular sector, will consist of experts from government, industry and academia.

Earlier in March, the province held a policy coordination meeting on Strategies for Promoting Local Industries to Prepare for the 4th Industrial Revolution, and discussed the 3 major issues of upgrading key industries, nurturing new growth industries, and cultivating creative talent for technological convergence.
