(JEONJU=Yonhap News) To diversify its agrofood exports, North Jeolla Province has invited prospective foreign buyers to a consulting forum organized by the province government, Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency's North Jeolla office, and the Jeonbuk Institute for Food Bioindustry.
Held at the Hotel Roni in Jeonju for the two days beginning May 18, the forum will be attended by food retail companies of 11 countries, including the U.S., Japan, China, Canada and Brazil.
In particular, the list of participants include representatives of Columbia's largest food retailer Alival and U.S.-based Han Partners.
Some 50 local companies, including Charmfre and Eunseong Food, selected based on a preliminary survey, will have an opportunity to promote the high-quality of their products by participating in one-on-one meetings with the foreign buyers.
