According to Newsis News,

(IKSAN=Newsis News) The city of Iksan in North Jeolla Province signed with the Asia Inbound Tourism Association (AITA) on December 19, agreeing to cooperate on revitalizing the local tourism industry.

Based on the agreement, the two parties will work together on developing tourism products that utilize Iksan's tourism resources, and carry out joint marketing campaigns.

The signing was attended by the Iksan branches of the Korea Food Service Industry Association and the Korea Accommodation Business Association, as well as the Iksan Tourism Dure.

With Chinese tourists returning to Korea, and more tourists arriving from Southeast Asia, the city hopes to use this momentum to secure a foundation for foreign tourists.

The Asia Inbound Tourism Association (AITA) was established in 2010 to promote the development of Korean travel agencies that attract tourists from China and Southeast Asia, and currently has about 130 member companies.
