(JEONJU=Yonhap News) North Jeolla Province will be investing a total of KRW 375.9 billion to secure future competitiveness of the local auto industry.

To achieve that goal, the province has set 4 major strategies, the first of which is to develop technology and build a foundation for testing technology for the commercial vehicle industry.

Second, it plans to reinforce the self-sustainability of local auto parts suppliers by providing various forms of support.

The province will also support R&D and strive to secure a foundation for growth of the special-equipment vehicle industry.

And lastly, the province will work on discovering other development strategies and business models for future cars.
