British Airways chose Jeonju as one of the cities to visit in November.

According to Jeonju on October 16, British Airways wrote in its magazine, The Club, that Jeonju is one of seven cities to visit in November.

British Airways flies to 275 cities of the world and it has a direct flight between Seoul and London everyday.

"There's so much more to South Korea than Seoul," wrote British Airways. "A train ride away in historic Jeonju, you'ss find slate-roofed, traditional hanok homes, narrow alleyways, buzzy street markets - and the best-ever bibimbap."

It has been playing a promotion video of Jeonju on the in-flight entertainment service since last year. This fall, it is publicizing Jeonju through various kinds of media.

It also showed five Korean short movies that were submitted to the Jeonju International Film Festival with the PR video on the entertainment channel for one month in September.

Jeonju expects to have more tourists thanks to the effective global city brand promotion through PR projects of the airline mainly used by tourists and business people.

"Jeonju is marking a new milestone for Korean culture that is well-known for K-Pop, and providing new and diverse experience to the tourists and business people in the world," said Choi Hyeon-chang, Director General of Planning and Coordination Bureau of the City. "Jeonju is attracting global attention as Korea's representative culture city, where people can enjoy Korean culture including traditional houses, papers and food."
