Jeonbuk-do to Foster Blockchain Businesses and Human Resources

According to Yonhap News,

(JEONJU=Yonhap News) Jeollabuk-do will foster blockchain industry which is the key technology for the fourth industrial revolution.

It aims to foster specialized companies and talented personnel by strengthen the foundation for ICT and software industries which are week areas in the province.

The province will provide financial support of KRW 30 million to blockchain software startups and maximum KRW 100 million when they develop software by applying blockchanin technologies.

It will also provide KRW 400 million of R&D funds to companies developing software related to agricultural science.

Blockchanin startups and companies relocating blockchain technologies from other regions to Jeonbuk-do will be provided with occupation rights to the Tech-Biz Center which is under construction in the Jeonbuk Innovation City.

The province will organize a new blockchain course in the training program of SW Convergence Cluster for Agricultural Science to develop human resources.

"Blockchain industry has a great potential of growth thanks to the excellent security and openness," said Na Seok-hun, Director General of Economy and Industry of the Province. "It will also contribute to job creation for the youth."
