Jeonbuk-do to facilitate a 2.5 trillion won scale future projects

According to Yonhap News,

(JEONJU=Yonhap News) Jeonbuk-do decided to table in 22 large-scale national projects and secure national budget.

The major projects include the establishment of a smart seedling complex for creating a high value-added industry of breeding and nursery production; a companion animal industry cluster composed of a companion animal theme park and a production complex; an infrastructure to cultivate the animal pharmaceuticals industry, affiliated with the only zoonosis research institute in Korea and the Korea Research Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology; and a webtoon experience city including a webtoon street and a webtoon experience center.

The plans also include construction of the Jirisan National Forest Education and Culture Center, the Energy Security Analysis Center, the Safe Traffic Education Center, and the integrated logistics center for small businesses.

The estimated total cost of the projects is KRW 2.5711 trillion.

The project plans were designed by 51 experts from the 'Forum for Developing National Business Projects,' which Jeonbuk-do and its research institute had organized and run since April.

Jeonbuk-do plans to reinforce the plans with experts' consultation and research projects. By then the province will go out to secure national budget.

In order to make them registered as national projects, Jeonbuk-do will take all necessary measures to reinforce the reasons behind the necessity to carry out the plans and the plans' compatibility with government policies.
