(GUNSAN=Yonhap News) Saemanguem Development and Investment Agency (SDIA) launched a public-private committee to discuss balanced development measures and gather opinions about Saemanguem renewable energy project on February 13.

The public-private committee was set up to gather opinions raised in the region after the government's declaration of a vision "creating the best renewable energy cluster in Saemanguem" in October last year.

The committee was participated by 18 people including representatives of provinces and cities near Saemanguem, civic and environmental organizations, experts, and officials from the government and state enterprises.

The committee members listened to the project's basic plan and basic direction for balanced-development of the region and discussed how to proceed with the project.

A committee member said "we will do our best to come up with various measures for balanced development and grow Saemanguem into a mecca of the renewable industry".
