According to Yonhap News,

(SEOUL=Yonhap News) Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (MAFRA) said on February 17 that it will support the young generation, 39 years or younger, seeking to establish a food enterprise through "New food business Lab for the youth" National Food Clusters.

The Lab will provide tailored experience and on-the-job training to would-be entrepreneurs, as well as support for pilot product tasting events and product development.

The Lab program began in September 2017, and has supported 61 young people of 25 teams. Of them, 10 teams founded enterprises.

MAFRA announced that support period will be extended from 4 months to 6 months at the longest, and will bring in additional product manufacturing equipment, needed to develop a food prototype.

For would-be entrepreneurs with superb prototype, the Lab will help them obtain Intercultual Property Rights (IPR) and participate in exhibitions.
