According to Yonhap News,

(JEONJU=Yonhap News) SMEs located in North Jeolla province succeeded in signing exports contracts worth KRW 12 billion.

Five companies including SCDD and Wonjin Alumium signed export agreements worth USD 10.2 million (KRW 12 bilion) with buyers from China, Phillipine, Vietnam, and Thailand at Jeonbuk Government office on April 18.

SCDD, a seaweed processing company, signed a contract with Thai buyer on dried seaweed exports worth USD 6 million.

Wonjin Alumium signed USD 10 million exports contract with Thai buyer, while GEOS, children's clothing brand, signed USD 12 million export contract with a Chinese company.

YENA, a cosmetics company signed USD 10 million exports contract with Vietnam's company, while Jeongseok chemical, a chemical coating company, signed USD 10 million exports contract with a buyer from Thailand.

A government official said, "We will step up efforts to help companies in the province to make inroads into ASEAN market, by providing export support policies tailored to each step of the growth."
