(GUNSAN=Yonhap News) Saemangeum Developmnet and Investment Agency made an official statement on Oct 28 of the release of a 'Developement plan for Saemangeum Industrail Cluster' which primarily focuses on securing spatial site for research work to turn the cluster into the National Industrial Complex.

The cluster was leveled up almost in 9 years since its first nomination. It is highly like that the upgrade this time helps push up management efficiency and external credibility. It also enables the agency to speed up the administrative process for budgeting and policy implementation.

By securing a large size (260,000m2) of research sites, the agency also opens up the chance to work with research labs and institutions to try and conduct multiple projects that they could not have done before. This National Industrial Complex will be split into small sections (15,000m2) to accommodate local SMEs.
