North Jeolla Province announced an opening of overseas office in Hanoi, Vietnam on Nov. 8.

This newly established office aims to serve as a main hub in South East Asia, part of government’s efforts to diversify global market channels and to catch up with national development portfolio ‘New Southern Policy’. In celebration of the opening ceremony, SMEs in North Jeolla Province and representatives from local business associate singed an MOU for collaborative work between two parties.

The office will become the center point to promote export in South East Asia, providing a venue for business work. The Province has already built up partnership with a couple of districts since 2017, while helping SMEs and startups in Jeolla Province reach export contracts worth USD 96 billion with their counterparts in Vietnam.
