According to Yonhap News,

Iksan, North Jeolla Province signed an MOU on Feb. 18 with the city of Khabarovsk to form a mutual city- partnership. Further specifically, both cities agreed to look for and run a project to transform both cities into a hub of freight or passenger railway system.

To push on other exchange programs, Iksan city and Khabarovsk pledged to go along with multiple projects, in culture, industry and agricultural business.

The city mayor said “I think it’s a perfect opportunity for us to get a step closer to become the transportation hub that connects the continent of Europe and Asia. The city will spare no effort to make a bilateral cooperation.”
