According to Newsis,

North Jeolla Province and Jeonbuk Techno Park (JBTP) announced on Apr. 8 that the local authorities are pushing for a project, providing an intensive support for local exporters in early stage. Main idea of the project is to make full use of specialized resources in private sectors, which will ultimately serve as a growth engine to turn local businesses highly competitive.

Furthermore, the project allows members of the service to form a consortium with World Federation of Overseas Korean Traders Associations (OKTA) and professional traders, through which each exporter can set up personalized business strategies to form overseas market networks. This year, the province is planning to select (less or more than) 10 candidates and dispense KRW 21 million worth of cash grants each.

As part of relief plans for those hit hard by the coronavirus-shock, the local government also decided to slash membership fee in half from 20 percent.

Those interested in the program can visit https://www.jbtp.or.kr/ for more information.

Applicants can visit or mail the necessary document for registration, which is due on May 8.
