According to Yonhap News,

With the greatest customer feedback, an event what’s called “drive-thru farmers market”, designed to help local farmers battered hard by the coronavirus shock, came to an end on Apr. 4 in North Jeolla Province. The local authorities announced on Apr. 4 that six tons of locally grown organic vegies and fruits worth KRW 25 million were on display to be marketed right in front of the city hall but soon, they all got sold out in less than four hours from the early opening of the event.

The market adopted a “drive-thru” service model where provincial officials load each car once customers sitting on the wheel select groceries they want to purchase while driving through the site.

An official said “We hosted the event as a way for local community members to bond together while social distancing posed by the coronavirus crisis. I think this was a great opportunity for many local farmers and residents living here.”
