Gochang-gun to make a KRW 2.3 bln investment in smart dairy farming
Gochang-gun, North Jeolla Province announced on Apr. 3 that the local authorities are leading what’s called smart dairy industry project, which focuses primarily on improving productivity, getting well prepared for the era of shrinking working age populations.
The smart dairy industry project was finally approved as part of national ICT convergence projects 2020, led by the agro-ministry. It is reported that a KRW 2.3 billion budget in total is injected into the smart dairy farming programs. Gochang-gun which takes up almost 54 percent of the output, in particular, is now taking a leadership role in smart business model to be sustainable, while adopting robot milking machines.
