According to Yonhap News,


North Jeolla Province and Saemangeum Development and Investment Agency (SDIA) signed a KRW 19.4 billion worth of investment deal with two enterprises, Plaspo Co., Ltd and Juwang Industrial Co., Ltd. to develop a Saemangeum industry cluster.

Coupling with the renewable energy cluster located in the community, these two investors, power converter and controller makers, are anticipated to create synergy effect. Plaspo, a power converter producer, is now setting up an assembly line, pumping KRW 11.1 billion, whereas Juwan rolled out a plan to build out a production plant to make switchboard in the province.

An official said “We’re looking forward to seeing what these two investors are going to bring into the community- adding 60 new jobs, while making the cluster even more competent. The local government will make an all-out efforts to provide a string of administrative supports for the businesses.”
