N. Jeolla Prov. to start digital marketing to tap into global markets in Asia
North Jeolla Province said on Oct 7 that the local authorities has started to pitch in with online marketing since this October to tap into global sales channels for local businesses, particularly those striving against the economic fallout from the recent outbreak of the coronavirus.
In an attempt to expand the market presence in India, the authorities set up a plan to make best use of digital marketing platforms such as TV home shopping channels or influencers on social media. They’ve already signed an agreement with local shopping channels in India for transmission of product advertisement and reportedly in preparation for producing PR materials for social media marketing.
In addition to the marketing strategies targeting India, the provincial government also unveiled a plan to kickstart its global business in China and South East Asia by hosting a web-based trade fair two times in November with 24 potential buyers worldwide.
Plus, they’ll provide funds to create online marketing content up to KRW5 million for each enterprise.
