Two food product makers to build up new production plants in Iksan cluster

According to Yonhap News,


Iksan city in North Jeolla Province announced on Oct 29 that two food product makers, Seonhae Seafood and Sangsang FG, recently signed an agreement to move into the city’s food cluster, Foodpolis.

Seonhae Seafood, a sea food processor, decided to spend as much as KRW 7.3 billion to build up a new production plant on a 13.264㎡ site within the cluster.

With KRW 5.6 billion, Sangsang FG establishes a food processing factory on a 12.881㎡ site. Once the factories get off the ground as they’re planned, both investors are anticipated to add nearly 110 new jobs locally.

In celebration of the agreement, the city mayor said “The investments will help a lot to local economy struggling to cope with the recent coronavirus outbreak. We’ll spare no efforts to support these investors who made such decisions in these tough times.”
