A startup assistance team in Jeonbuk National University (JNU) announced the launch of its business-support program on Feb 4, running sales promotion and marketing campaigns online on local businesses facing challenges during COVID-19 pandemic behalf. The team has helped increase brand awareness, promoting products and services via what’s called ‘JB virtual marketplace’ held twice this year featuring e-commerce shopping hosts who get their customers to shop the aired shows online by making endorsement of commercial products in real time. The live-streaming commerce hit almost 1,600 views during the show, raising nearly KRW20 million in sales, said the JNU team.
