According to Yonhap News,

Korea National Food Cluster (Foodpolis) said NaraeFood and Mirae Food System, meat processors, have signed an investment deal on Apr 16 with the city of Iksan to establish new production facilities inside Iksan National Food Cluster.

NaraeFood, a poultry producer, unveiled its investment plan to spend nearly KRW 3.6 billion on new factory on a 6,319㎡ site inside the Foodpolis. Mirae Food System, processing pork products, will invest KRW 4.2 billion in adding its manufacturing plant on a 3,674㎡ area in the food cluster.

Once they kick start operation, these two production facilities are highly anticipated to add approximately 100 new jobs.

“We’d like to extend our deepest gratitude for making such a bold decision particularly at these tough times of the pandemic-triggered recession. We’ll spare no effort to provide both administrative and financial support to help these new investors grow into the world’s giants in the global meat packing industry.” said the head of the foodpolis.
