A global economic forum that seeks new growth engines and alternatives will be held in Jeonju-si, Jeollabuk-do.

Jeollabuk-do and the Organizing Committee of GENIE Forum are to hold the 2nd GENIE Forum( Global Emerging Network In Economy) under the theme of 'Strengthen the global financial economy to restore social values' in Jeonju Hanok Village for two days starting from September 30.

The GENIE Forum is a global economic forum, expanding the international financial conference that was held in Joellabuk-do, by linking with new industries such as future industries and Green New Deal.

It is hosted by the Forum Organizing Committee and organized by the Presidential Committee for Balanced National Development, Jeollabuk-do, Jeonju-si, and the National Pension Service, among others.

Ahead of the Forum, the Organizers held an opening ceremony at Jeonju Lahan Hotel on September 29.

Experts from various fields will have discussion on new growth engine for the domestic economy, including carbon neutrality, financial industry, and discovery of future-oriented startups.

The event consists of the international finance conference, global innovetor contest, climate environment seminar, regional investment promotion, and financial development forum.

All programs will be broadcast online through the GENIE Forum website.
