A facility producing buoyant objects for the floating photovoltaic system is expected to be built in the Renewable Energy Industrial Complex in Buan-gun, Jeollabuk-do.

Jeollabuk-do, Buan-gun, and Eugene solar, a solar power generation company, signed an investment MOU at the Convention Center in the New and Renewable Energy Industry Complex on October 22, coming together to build a factory.

According to the MOU, Eugene solar will invest KRW 4.5 billion on the site of 12,716 square meters to build a plant that manufacture a buoyant body that floats photovoltaic panels on water.

The construction is scheduled to begin in May next year.

Eugene solar is expected to create 15 new jobs and generate KRW 15 billion in sales.

Jeollabuk-do said that four companies have signed investment MOUs, including this one, with the Buan Renewable Energy Complex.
