According to Yonhap News,
Iksan-si, Jeollabuk-do, signed an investment agreement with Future Technology Research Center (FTRC), a company that possesses original holographic technology, at City Hall on October 27.
The FTRC is a leading hologram venture company focused on holographic optical recording system development and HOE (hologram optical device) technology development.
Based on this agreement, the FTRC plans to establish a research center and office in Iksan next year and push for the development of hologram films and optical recording devices, among others.
In Iksan, there are a hologram content service center, XR (extended reality) materials, parts, and equipment development support center, in addition to 12 hologram-related companies such as Atech-net. Thus, the city expects a synergy effect when the FTRC's research center moves in.
