Jeollabuk-do announced on November 12 that it had held the inauguration ceremony of the ‘Jeonbuk-do Metaverse Council’ and invited experts to foster the metaverse industry in Jeollabuk-do.

With participation of the governor of Jeollabuk-do, metaverse companies, mobile communication companies and broadcast media companies, and officials from relevant organizations, there was a council launching ceremony and discussion on how to foster the metaverse industry.

Jeollabuk-do, with the vision of 'Digital leap forward of Jeollabuk-do through Metaverse,' has announced three promotion strategies including ▲ Drive Jeollabuk-do style New Deal with Metaverse ▲ Preemptive support for the Metaverse ecosystem based on K-New Deal 2.0 and ▲ Expanding corporate support with the public Metaverse, and 8 tasks to implement these strategies.

Jeollabuk-do plans to actively work towards discovering metaverse services, producing and demonstrating contents and creating metaverse-related jobs in conjunction with the Jeollabukdo Contents Convergence Promotion Agency, Jeonbuk Digital Convergence Center, and Jeollabuk-do Metaverse Council.

In the following discussion, participants shared opinions on the metaverse service specific to Jeollabuk-do, preparations needed to foster the metaverse industry, and ways to create jobs through the metaverse.
