According to Yonhap News,

Iksan-si, Jeollabuk-do announced on January 5 that it has completed construction of the 'Agricultural Food Raw Material Intermediary Supply Center' that can reliably supply high-quality agricultural products to resident companies of the National Food Cluster.

The center, located in national food cluster industrial complex (project budget KRW 22.9 billion), is a two-story building constructed on a total area of 9,816 square meters on a site of 24,426 square meters and equipped with refrigerated, frozen, and room temperature storage warehouses.

With the completion of the Center, it will be possible to store raw agricultural products by type and required temperature, allowing resident companies to secure quality competitiveness and receive stable supply all year round.

In addition, the city expects that local farmers and producer groups will be able to focus on production without worrying about sales channels.

Nonghyup logistics is in charge of operating the center.

With the completion of this Center, the number of support facilities in the National Food Cluster has increased to 9 in total.

And construction of three more facilities, including a functional food formulation center, a food start-up center for the youth, and a functional material bank are scheduled for the next year.
