Jeonju, Jeollabuk-do announced on April 15 that construction of the 'New Industry Convergence Knowledge Industry Center', a base facility for nurturing leading companies in the new digital industry, will be completed by the end of this month.

This center is a space for occupancy of SMEs and startups in the fields of blockchain, artificial intelligence (AI), big data, and Internet of Things (IoT).

With a total project cost of KRW 24.3 billion, the center will be built on the site of the Jeonju Information Culture Industry Promotion Agency in Nosong-dong, with two basement floors and five above-the-ground floors, with a total building area of 9,200 square meters.

It is equipped with offices for 28 companies to move in, and supporting facilities such as conference rooms, training rooms, and lounges.

Those willing to move in must apply by April 28.

The city expects that if this center is fully up and running, it will become a base to lead Jeonju's new industry by creating synergy effects together with the IT Venture Center, Multimedia Technology Support Center, Culture Industry Support Center, located in the Jeonju Information Culture Industry Promotion Agency.
