According to Yonhap News,
Gimje-si, Jeollabuk-do, announced on August 12 that it signed an agreement with Myeongji, a specialty car parts producer, for investment in the Gimje Horizon Industrial Complex.
Myeongji is expected to spend KRW 9.5 billion as early as the end of this year to build a new factory on 11,943㎡ site in the Horizon Industrial Complex and produce special vehicle control units.
When the factory is up and running, it is expected to create about 20 jobs.
A mayor of Gimje-si said, "we appreciate the investment decision in spite of the economic recession," adding, "we will not spare any efforts to support its growth".
