According to Yonhap News,

On May 7, Jeonbuk State announced that the State's delegation on a visit to China held an IR for local energy companies including secondary batteries and ESS (energy storage system) in Shenzhen on the previous day.

It was attended by executives from more than 50 local companies and associations, including Sunwoda, the world's top battery manufacturer, and BTR, a company developing and researching battery cathode materials.

Shenzhen was designated as a special economic zone in 1980, for the first time in China, and a number of leading companies such as Huawei and Tencent are actively doing business here.

Governor went on the stage and explained the investment environment of Jeonbuk and the status of Saemangeum development to these companies and asked for their active investment.

After the IR, Jeonbuk also signed investment agreements with two companies, including Synomed, a pharmaceutical company for heart and cardiovascular disease.

Governor Kim said, "Jeonbuk is creating a good environment for companies to invest in," suggesting "to create new opportunities through active exchanges and cooperation between companies located in Jeonbuk and Shenzhen."

Jeonbuk's delegation plans to seek measures for economic cooperation by meeting with overseas Koreans during its visit to China until May 9.
