On May 16, Jeonbuk State signed an MOU withy the National Institute of Animal Science and Organoid Sciences, a company specializing in cell culture and recombination, in order to foster the bio industry on May 16.

The main content of the agreement are: discover joint project to facilitate bio-specialized complex; discover and proceed with R&D project in the bio sector; establish a platform to develop pet disease treatment; and infrastructure sharing and cooperation.

Jeonbuk State expects the local bio industry to further develop, including development of animal drugs, by building on this agreement.

Jeonbuk's governor expressed expectation, saying that, "this agreement will give us an opportunity to become a production base for animal drugs."
