On May 28, Jeonbuk State signed an MOU with Maeil Dairies to foster the bio industry at provincial office.
The main contents of the MOU are: joint cooperation on R&D in the bio industry; joint projects discovery to foster the bio industry; and cooperation in fostering talent and exchanges of experts in the bio industry.
The provincial office expects that Mail Dairies, which manufacture and sell fermented milk, and nutritional foods for adults, to be helpful in expanding the horizon of the green bio (environmentally friendly bio engineering sector).
It also emphasized that practical and organic collaboration is feasible in that Maeil Dairies are operating factories and farms in Gochang.
Jeonbuk's governor said, "Jeonbuk has the foundation for cooperation with Mail Dairies, such as the Korea Food Research Institute and the National Food Cluster," adding, "we will foster the bio-industry through joint research and development projects."
