On July 12, Gunsan-si, Jeonbuk State announced that it selected 12 companies including Pulmuone, who will move into the Saemangeum Fisheries Food Export Processing Complex.

The city has been creating the Fisheries Food Export Processing Complex on a site of 133,000 square meters in the Saemangeum National Industrial Complex to foster the fisheries products industry.

It will be home to food R&D facilities, smart factories, apartment-type processing plants, export support centers, and, food producing and fisheries food processing companies.

The city decided on the companies after on-site inspection and deliberation by the Fisheries Committee.

The city expects that the companies would make combined investment of KRW 177.5 billion to establish plants by 2026 and hire 450 employees, producing pickled food, meal kits, and frozen and refrigerated food.

An official from the city said, "the Complex will produce such effects as fostering the fisheries food industry, promoting the consumption of fishery products, and bringing about the 6th industrialization."
