According to Yonhap News,

Jeonbuk State is set to establish a "future ranch" that will upgrade animal welfare to the next level.

On August 27, Jeonbuk State signed an MOU on "establishment and joint research of animal welfare future ranch" with Pulmuone, LARTBIO, and Seoul National University's R&D Foundation.

The main contents of the agreement are ▲ Establishment of a future ranch for animal welfare based on information and communication technology (ICT) ▲ Operation of education and practice centers of smart dairy technology ▲ Joint research on technology related to green bio ▲ Development and commercialization of premium dairy products.

Under the agreement, Jeonbuk State will remodel the existing livestock house at the Jeonbuk Livestock Research Institute in Seongsu-myeon, Jinan-gun, by the first half of 2026, with KRW 2 billion, including KRW 1 billion from Pulmuone's investment.

The future ranch conceived by the province is a system where cows move freely across the ranch without stress.

In addition, various smart devices such as robot milking machines, calf auto feeders, among others, will be introduced.

The province expects that the future ranch would contribute to reducing the avoidance of dairy farming by cutting production costs and creating high profits.

It is also expected to be a large-scale training center for young livestock farmers to learn smart dairy technologies.
