On August 30, Jeonbuk State announced that it will invest KRW 19.5 billion in 6 projects to strengthen its "digital fundamentals" of industries in the province.

The projects the province pushes for include ▲ support for regional-led digital innovation ▲ support for SW service commercialization ▲ support for commercialization of leading SW companies in the region ▲ support for enhancement of digital quality management ▲ support for the autonomous digital innovation projects in the region ▲ SW convergence cluster 2.0.

Of them, the regional-led digital innovation is to analyze the province's industrial capabilities and establish digital innovation plans.

In particular, the province will focus on advancing R&D and technology, and reliability of software products through the commercialization of SW service and commercialization of leading SW companies in the region.

The province expects to improve the technological and production capabilities of secondary battery companies in the Saemangeum Industrial Complex and develop new markets through the digital technology convergence.

An official from the provincial government said, "we will upgrade the competitiveness by facilitating digital transition focused on the province's major industries such as agriculture & life science and secondary battery."
