According to Yonhap News,

The Imsil N Cheese Festival in Jeonbuk State, which marks its 10th anniversary this year, surpassed 580,000 visitors, the largest ever, hitting a record high.

According to Imsil-gun on October 7, the number of visitors to the festival for four days on October 3-6 was tentatively estimated at 580,000, 20,000 more than last year.

This is more than 20 times of Imsil's total population (26,000).

During the festival, sales of cheese, dairy products, and agricultural products reached KRW 2.45 billion, up 67% from KRW 1.63 billion last year.

Marking its 10th anniversary, the festival featured a number of fun and new programs.

Despite rainy weather, the extended holiday seems to have played a role in boosting the number of visitors.

A county governor said, "we're glad to see the Imsil N Cheese Festival grow to a mega-scale festival," adding that "we will do our best to make next year's festival better."
