Imsil-gun, Jeonbuk-do (North Jeolla Province) held a workshop with the attendance of officials of Cheese Valley and dairy farmers at Pilbong School of Farmers Music, Gangjin-myeon on February 10th to successfully operate Imsil Cheese Valley, which will be opened soon.

 

The workshop consisted of discussions on the future direction of the cheese industry and education by experts, providing an opportunity to be firmly committed to the success of Cheese Valley.

 

Participants could learn the plan for Imsil Cheese Valley with presentations on the project to create a cluster of agricultural food (cheese) and a cheese farmland, the operation on Imsil cheese science research center, and case studies.

 

On the second day of the workshop, Professor Choi Jun-pyo will give a presentation on the desirable direction of Imsil’s cheese industry and CEO Sin Suk-jeong of Food R&C will have a lecture on health and functional food.

 

Imsil Cheese Valley will open in May as a European theme park in a pastoral natural environment. It is expected that the Valley will attract 500,000 tourists annually and generate tourism revenue of KRW 10 billion.
