According to Yonhap News,

Energy efficient vehicles are increasing in Jeonbuk-do (North Jeolla Province).

According to Jeonbuk on February 16th, the number of energy-saving vehicles is 39,835, 39,929 of which are compact cars with engine power below 1,000 cc and 506 are hybrid vehicles.

Those cars account for 5.5% of the total vehicles registered at the Province.

Also, the number of registered vehicles in the Province is over 715,000, showing that 2.6 people own one vehicle.

There are 506,626 passenger cars, 166,511 trucks, 39,929 passenger vans, and 2,180 special motor vehicles. The number of imported vehicles has increased to 8,649 or 1.2 % of the total in the region.

Vehicles run by gasoline are 42.6%, diesel 41.8%, and LPG 15.2%.
