According to Yonhap News,
Buan county in Jeonbuk is transforming into a green city of renewable energy.
Buan county will install thermal energy generating facilities as part of its Green Village project with Korea Energy Management Corporation on August 28. 52 and 19 thermal energy generating facilities will be installed in Gosa and Jangdeung villages, respectively. Half of the cost will be financed by the government.
Buan installed 42 renewable energy generators in Hwajung village before, and created a renewable energy park in Jusan for the first time in Korea.
An official from Buan county said that Buan is becoming a hub in renewable energy by pursuing a green village project.
