According to Yonhap News,
The first Asia 4-H Network Conference 2012 begins with welcoming reception at Deogyusan Resort in Muju-gun, north Jeolla Province (Jeonbuk).
The conference, held at Muju, Jeonju and Seoul under the topic of "Challenge and Change for a Better Life," attracts people from 20 member countries in Asia and Oceania countries.
The event includes a representative meeting, leadership seminar, 4-H contest for students, camping and youth cultivation program.
During the reception, 4-H Tainan division of Taiwan and 4-H Muju division of Jeonbuk set up a sisterhood relationship to cooperate in nurturing youth talents.
"This year's conference holds significance in that it aims at addressing poverty and illiteracy issues facing Asian developing countries. I expect the exchange of talents and resources among member countries to expand our activities and enhance the status of 4-H all around the world," said Muju Governor Hong Nak-pyo.
