Iksan Attracts Korean Companies in China

Iksan city will participate in a charity event hosted by the Korea Chamber of Commerce & Industry in Tianjin this weekend to hold a promotional booth to attract companies to Iksan.

Among 2500 companies in Tianjin, there are 800 Korean companies, which are members of the chamber.

A promotion committee from Iksan will share progress of industrial complexes in Iksan and promote support systems for returning Korean companies and employment support programs. It will also hold one-on-one consultations and plans to open an investment information session this September.

Iksan city has attracted 23 jewelry companies to which were previously located in Quigdao. A R&D center and manufacturing plants for u-turn companies, those who moved back to Korea, will begin this month.

A government budget of KRW 17.8 billion will be invested in the R&D center which will include a research institute, plating facilities and waste water treatment system. The center aims at successful settlement of 23 u-turn companies and development of the jewelry industry.
