(SUNCHANG = Yonhap News) Sunchang-gun will commence its Gangchun Mt. tourism complex development project in April of 2015 to attract more long-term visitors.
Sunchang-gun and Korea Rural Community Corporation announced last December that the construction is expected to be completed by 2016.
The KRW 38.3 billion project aims to develop a 20,5128m2 tourism complex in Paldeok-myeon in Sunchang-gun to induce more long-term visitors.
The complex comprises large accommodation facilities, spa, foot bath facilities and walk path.
Sunchang is currently going through additional administrative procedures for the project.
“Once the construction of the complex is completed, the complex will make Sunchang-gun a tourism attraction that is suitable for long-term visit, and make a significant contribution to the local economy,” said the governor of Sunchang.
