(JEONJU = Yonhap News) Jeollabuk-do will commence the Jeonju Palbok 1st industrial complex redevelopment project in August.
The province announced on January 23 that it secured 27 percent (KRW 7.5 billion) of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport’s 2014 budget for industrial complex renovation for its Jeonju industrial complex.
In 2012, the province established a redevelopment plan for its Jeonju industrial complex, which was selected for redevelopment project in 2012, and will commence the project in August soon after the necessary administrative procedures are completed.
Jeonbuk will invest a total of KRW 115.4 billion by 2016 to improve road conditions, expand open space for parking lots and construct more convenience facilities for workers.
The 18,000,000m2 industrial complex was established in 1969.
