(JEONJU=Yonhap News) The manufacturing business in North Jeolla Province improved in October.
The Bank of Korea Jeonbuk Branch conducted a survey on business conditions for about 400 regional companies on October 31and the BSI (business survey index) of the manufacturing industry is 67, 8 point increase month on month.
If the BSI is over 100, there are more positive respondents than negative respondents and vice versa for the BSI less than 100.
The BSI of sales (73→82), production (83→84), new order (80→84), operation rate (79→84), payability (85→94) and financial condition (75→80) all increased than last month.
However, manufacturing companies pointed weak domestic demand (31.3 percent), uncertain economic conditions (16.3 percent), enhancement of competition (8.4 percent), insufficient finance (7.8 percent) and determinants of foreign exchange rate (7.1 percent) as the difficulties of doing business.
