According to Yonhap News,

(JEONJU=Yonhap News) North Jeolla Province announced August 3 that Jeonju Nonghyup of Jeonju City and Jirisan Nonghyup of Namwon City have been selected for the agricultural products processing center (APC) support project by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.

An APC refers to a complex distribution center where farmers directly deliver their commercialized agricultural products to consumers or stores. The center will secure the price competitiveness of the supply price by 20-30 percent on average by eliminating the mid-process (from wholesale to retail).

Jeonju Nonghyup and Jirisan Nonghyup will build facilities that can handle five items including tomatoes and pears with a total of KRW 6 billion (national expenses KRW 1.8 billion) and three items including apples and cherry tomatoes with a total of KRW 2 billion (national expenses KRW 600 million), respectively.
