Korea Food Research Institute Holds Groundbreaking Ceremony at Jeonbuk Innovation City

According to Yonhap News,

(JEONJU=Yonhap News) The Korea Food Research Institute (KFRI) held a groundbreaking ceremony on October 28 for the construction of its new headquarters at the Jeonbuk Innovation City. KFRI is the last public institution of the 12 institutions that are relocating to the innovation city.

KFRI will invest KRW 218.6 billion to build a five-story building with an underground floor on 115,600㎡ of land.

When the construction completes in August, 2017, around 500 KFRI workers will move to the innovation city.

To date, eleven public institutions have relocated to the innovation city including the Rural Development Administration, Local Government Officials Development Institute and National Pension Service. The relocation project of the innovation city will finish with the relocation of KFRI in August, 2017.
