(JEONJU=Yonhap News) North Jeolla Province Vice Governor Lee Hyeong-kyu visited Tata Motors on November 30 and requested for an additional investment in Saemangeum during his visit to India.
Lee and his delegation met with the executives of Tata Group and explained the future value of the Saemangeum region to attract more investment.
Lee also asked the executives of Tata Group to visit Tata Daewoo Commercial Vehicle Company plant in Gunsan.
Tata Group, one of the three largest companies in India, has 580,000 employees and records USD 100 billion of sales. It also has more than 100 subsidiaries around the world for sectors including automobiles, aerospace, steel and IT.
