(GWANGJU=Yonhap News) Gwangju City announced January 19 that it will open Jingok Industrial Complex access road connecting the industrial complexes in Gwangsan-gu and Honam Expressway on January 20.
The access road is a four-lane road (length 5.7 km, width 20 m) connecting Oseon-dong of Gwangsan-gu, Nam-myeon of Jangseong-gun and Oryeong-dong of Buk-gu.
A total of KRW 152 billion of national expenses were spent on building the access road, which began construction in January 2010.
The city expects the access road to reduce the logistics cost of tenant companies of Jingok Industrial Complex, Hanam Industrial Complex and high-tech districts in Gwangsan-gu, Jangseong Nano Industrial Complex in South Jeolla Province and Honam Expressway.
