(GWANGJU=NEWSIS) Gwangju City Mayor Yoon Jang-hyun and his delegation visited Changzhi County in Shanxi Province and Luoyang City in Henan Province on April 19 for two days to facilitate cooperation in the tourism sector. Gwangju also signed tourism exchange agreements with the two cities to attract Chinese tourists.

The two cities agreed to promote tourism through medical tourism and other tourism-related resources and encourage relevant companies and institutions to participate in tourism-related exhibitions.

Gwangju also held briefing sessions to local travel agencies and tourism companies in Changzhi and Luoyang to introduce Gwangju's tourism environment.

"We hope to expand exchanges and cooperation in various sectors including the tourism sector," said Yoon.
