GWANGJU < invest Korea

According to Yonhap News,

(GWANGJU=Yonhap News) A center for convergence technology of home appliances and electronic devices opens in Gwangju to support technology development of local consumer electronics manufacturers.

The center, which will be located in the Gwangju Regional Branch of the Korea Electronics Technology Institute, consists of a planner division for product analysis and strategy planning; joint research center for technology development and pilot production; and a strategy office for commercialization.

Electronics companies experiencing a decrease in demand will be provided with support in developing product technology and diversifying their business into the auto parts manufacturing.

The center will hold industrial seminars twice a month to share latest technology and industry trend.

Gwangju has been pushing forward establishment of a center to enhance capabilities of corporate research centers and facilitate R&D know-how transfer through joint research with the the Korea Electronics Technology Institute.
