GWANGJU < invest Korea

According to Newsis News,

(GWANGJU=Newsis News) The Kimdaejung Convention Center is expanding to Gunsan, North Jeolla Province.

This is an especially meaningful accomplishment as the Center won in a competition against the Seoul-based COEX, Korea's largest exhibition venue.

The Center announced Feb. 6 that it had applied to run the Gunsan Saemangeum Convention Center (GSCO) on consignment, and was selected after a period of competition against COEX and a well-known hotel.

As a result, the Center will be running GSCO for the three years from Feb. 17, 2017 to late Dec. 2019.

COEX had been in charge of GSCO for the past three years, but the Kimdaejung Convention Center is set to take over soon, having secured an annual operation budget of KRW 1.6 billion from the City of Gunsan.
